Full Service
American Medical Consultants is a full service physician recruiting firm. A full presentation package is presented on each visiting candidate, including references, license checks, spousal interviews, complete curriculum vitae and areas of candidate concern. We assist in the scheduling and preparation for candidate visits. We follow up with physicians regularly after they begin practice to assure a smooth transition. The AMC offices are open during the day and evening. Our normal business hours are from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, and evenings from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm Monday through Thursday (Eastern Time).

In order to represent your organization professionally, all AMC associates have post-graduate degrees, and average over 20 years of Healthcare experience. Michael Kirschner, President, has been an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) for over 20 years.

Mr. Kirschner is a health care administrator who has specialized in the areas of group practice dynamics, corporate network development, and physician relations. His twenty five years of experience have included administrative positions at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, the Detroit Medical Center, the Naval Hospital in Groton, Connecticut, and Boston's Carney Hospital. |
Michael Kirschner is the President of American Medical Consultants-FL, a national healthcare consulting firm specializing in providing physician recruiting, healthcare executive recruiting, and consulting services to hospitals, medical practices, and managed care organizations throughout the United States. Prior to forming his own firm, he was a partner at a private healthcare consulting and recruiting firm in Miami, Florida.
Mr. Kirschner assists hospitals and healthcare organizations nationwide in their medical staff planning, network expansion, and physician relations issues. He has been featured in The Journal of the American Medical Association, Hematology Oncology News & Issues, Health Plan, Unique Opportunities, Healthcare Executive, Hospital and Health Service Administration, and the Navy Times. Mr. Kirschner provides consulting services on contract design and negotiation, interviewing, and compensation evaluations for all types of healthcare organization, as well as establishing partnerships and buy-ins for private practices. In addition, Mr. Kirschner conducts presentations to fellowship and residency programs throughout the nation to provide education on practice management.
Mr. Kirschner is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Florida Hospital Association, South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum, and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States. He holds the rank of Commander, Medical Service Corps, in the United States Navy Reserves. Mr. Kirschner managed the deployment of medical personnel at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, during the Persian Gulf War.
Mr. Kirschner earned a Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Human Resources Management with Honors from Northeastern University. He also earned a Master's degree in Health Care Administration from The George Washington University, where he prepared a thesis on "The Motivation for Urban and Suburban Hospitals Merging in Michigan".
